Columbia University in association with the Royal Shakespeare Company and University Musical Society and the University of Michigan presents the RSC's production of Salman Rushdie's MIDNIGHT'S CHILDREN A New Dramatisation by Salman Rushdie, Simon Reade and Tim Supple Apollo Theatre, New York, March 21 - 30, 2003.
An unprecedented collaboration between Columbia University, the University of Michigan/University Musical Society and the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC), will bring Salman Rushdie's award-winning allegory of modern India, MIDNIGHT'S CHILDREN, to the stage and to the United States - for the first time. It will be performed this March in New York City and Ann Arbor, Michigan after a run in London this winter.
An extraordinary and kaleidoscopic tale of modern India, MIDNIGHT'S CHILDREN recounts the epic story of Indian independence and the births of Pakistan and Bangladesh as seen through the eyes of one remarkable family.
